Privacy Policy

SitterPlan is a care scheduling and coordination app operated by Veteran Standard Company, a sole proprietorship.

Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, SitterPlan stores account details, household and sitter profiles, contact information, schedules, care instructions, tasks, comments, photos, emergency contact activity, payment preferences, and notification preferences. Care information may include information about children that an adult chooses to enter. Device notification tokens support push delivery. Optional browser alerts store a browser registration and preferences; notifications can continue after closing a tab, and signing out disables them on that browser. Optional SMS enrollment records include the recipient’s phone number, consent choices, verification status, and message delivery or opt-out records.

How information is used and shared

Information supports account access, household collaboration, sitting requests, care updates, recaps, notifications, and troubleshooting. Household members and assigned sitters receive information according to their access permissions. SitterPlan uses service providers, including Google Firebase for app services, Apple for iPhone push notifications, Resend for recap email delivery, and Twilio for SMS when enabled. These providers process information needed to deliver those services.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS service providers may process phone numbers and message information to deliver and manage the messages you request.

Website early-access list

When you choose to join, we store your email, household or sitter interest, optional city, signup time, and the email consent disclosure you accepted. We send an address-verification email and record verification or withdrawal status. We use confirmed addresses for SitterPlan launch and early-testing updates. Signup does not create an account or consent to text messages. We also keep daily abuse-prevention counters using a hashed network address. Contact support@sitterplan.com to unsubscribe or request deletion. We do not sell this list.

Website usage counts

We count page views and key actions, such as opening sitter access or requesting early access, in daily aggregate totals. These measurements do not use tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking. Network addresses are processed for daily abuse-prevention limits and stored only as daily hashes in those counters. Hosting providers may maintain operational logs. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences disable the website usage-count script.

Photos, contacts, and home access

Photos may be retained on your device, with previews and bounded higher-quality copies shared through the app when available. Contact access, camera access, and photo access are optional device permissions. Home access details are subject to the app’s sharing controls. Avoid adding information you do not want authorized household participants to see.

Your choices

You can update your profile, adjust notification preferences, and manage device permissions. SMS consent is optional and is separate from push notification permission. When SMS is enabled, reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Retention and requests

Records may remain associated with a household’s sitting history after a person is archived. Archiving a person is not account deletion. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some records may need to be retained for security, service operation, or applicable obligations. Copies already shared with other people may remain in their possession.
